There are a wide range of Motoring offences. Some are very minor and may not require the assistance of a Solicitor. However in cases that are disputed or proceed to Court it is our experience that representation by a Solicitor will assist you in achieving the best possible outcome to your case.

The Magistrates’ Courts have very wide powers with regard to what penalty can be imposed for a traffic offence. This can include the endorsement of penalty points, large financial penalties and even driving disqualifications.

In our experience, cases that are prepared well and presented by a skilled advocate in the Magistrates’ Court will result in a significantly lower penalty than would normally be imposed.

With the M6 Toll and M6 motorways running through our area we have substantial experience of all levels of Motoring cases.

The vast majority of Motoring (Road Traffic) offences are “summary only” – meaning that they can only be heard in the magistrates’ court and you are unlikely to be able to obtain legal aid for most of these cases. However, they can still lead to severe penalties – such as disqualification from driving and it will cost you nothing to find out how much our assistance in such cases might cost. See our information pages (from the drop down menu) about paying privately for summary motoring offences and our private client costs information generally.
